Garrick Memorial Park is the home of the sport & recreation organisation Woolston Club, and teh premier playing ground for two sports clubs with long histories: Lancaster park Cricket Club and Cashmere Technical Football Club (the product of a merger between Cashmere Wanderers AFC and Christchurch Techincal AFC). The Garrick Memorial Park sports grounds were badly damaged in the Canterbury earthquakes of 2010/2011, but have recently (2015) been remediated, drained, and a new sand-based grass playing surface installed. Garrick Memorial Park is a designated training facility for the 2015 FIFA U20 World Cup.

This isn't the Hurst and Drake Building. It is a residence (Otautahi House) for students of CPIT. Hurst and Drake Building was on the opposite side of Madras Street. where the CPIT Jazz school is now sited (124-132 High Street).

What is your authority for the suburb boundaries? I live in St Albans (or Edgeware) but none of the boundaries shown here corresponds to my understanding of the matter. I consider New Zealand is quite disorganised with this issue, but this map doesn't help at all. cepoynton@hotmail.com
